Hospital in the Rock

It is one of the most interesting places in Budapest. It is a hospital and a bunker at the same time, it was used during the war. It is in very good condition and it has got big amount of original medical tools from that period. It is a place that impresses you.

The museum close at 20:00. However, last entry is at 19:00. The tour lasts approximately 1 hour and it includes a short video to bring you into that period.

The tour is in English and Hungarian.

How to arrive


If you are in the city centre you have to go to Deak Ferenc tér (you can easily arrive with metro, lines: yellow, blue and red). There there is a bus stop, you have to take the bus 16  and stop at Szentháromság ter. 
When you get off the bus you will se in front of you the Mathias church and the Fisherman bastion.
You have to go oncoming of the church (as you can see on the second map). When you arrive to the wall, walk down the stairs and go to the right, in less than one minute you will see the Hospital in the Rock.

Timetable

It is open every day all year round from 10 am to 8pm.
English guided tours depart every hour from 10am to 7pm.

The Museum is CLOSED on the 1st of November, 24th, 25th, 31st of December and on the 1st of January. There is normal operation on other days.

Today I would like to speak about some restaurants that I have been this month.

1. Zizi bubbles and tapas

It is situated only 2 minutes from St. Stephen Basilica. It has Hungarian and Spanish dishes or "tapas". Tapas are small portions of the dishes. However it is very cheap.
We went two times and we tried:

• Potato croquettes with Serrano ham: Delicious!
• Honey-mustard chicken breast roasted in bacon: So tasty!
• baby squids in a crispy batter: The squids were too small.
• roasted potatoes with tomato and aioli : They aren´t good and the alioli wasn´t real alioli sauce.
• Roman salad with grilled chicken and anchovies: Good!
• Black pudding, liver wurst and bratwurst: Very tasty!
• BBQ pork with mustard-onion ragout:  Delicious!
• Hungarian Hamburguer: The best one! With Hungarian meat!.

2. Disznó Bistro

It is situated next to the Moulin Rouge and the  Budapesti Operett. Only 5 minutes from Octogon.

We taste theSpare Rib BBQ with Steak Potato Fries and BBQ Sauce.  It was pretty good.

3.Salvatore Bar

Situated in front of the Corinthia Hotel. 5min from Octogon.
It has very tasty dishes with very economic prices. Moreover they have 2 liters cocktail for less than 10€.
It is a perfect place to start the night and not to expend too much money in drinks.

We chose the espagueti tagliatelle al pesto, salmon with paste and tuna pizza with extra of bacon.

4.Jerney Italian Bistro

They have excelletent pizzas. The dough of the pizzas are great.
If you like the pizzas you should go there. They have pretty views in front the restaurant.

They have good soups but the pasta is´t very tasty.
It has good prices and the menu is in several languages.

Budapest- Liberty Statue/ Estatua de la libertad

Budapest is an incredible city with awesome views.
One good place to visit is the Liberty Statue. It was built in commemoration for those who sacrificed their lives for the independence of Hungary
It was first erected in 1947. Around this statue there is a very big green area.
The monument was originally designed by Zsigmond Kisfaludi Stróbi

Hello everyone!

Después de estar una temporadita sin escribir, vuelvo a la carga!

Hoy os voy a hablar de Ribadavia.

Ribadavia pertenece a la provincia de Ourense, en Galicia.

Ribadavia es un pequeño pueblo de 25km², sin embargo tiene muchos lugares bonitos para visitar.

 It is a small village with 25km², however it has a lot of amazing places.

A 5km de Ribadavia se encuentran las termas de Prexigueiro.Cuentan con un circuito termal al aire libre de 5 pozas de agua caliente. Esta aguas son autenticas auguas termales.

Disponen de un Spa y dos pozas de agua fría. Dentro del edificio se practican una serie de tratamientos en bañeras de hidromasaje, vinoterápia, chocolaterapia, tratamientos con algas, etc..

El horario de apertura al público en temporada de invierno es:


Lunes: Cerrado para limpieza y mantenimiento


Martes, miércoles y jueves: De 11:00 a 23:00 h.


Viernes y Sábados: De 10:00 a 00:00 h.

Cañones del Sil. Ourense (España)

Bienvenidos! El pasado mes de julio fui a visitar una zona preciosa que se encuentra entre Orense y Lugo. Se conoce por sus montañas y el rio miño que forman un paisaje excelente.
En la zona de arriba tienes distintos miradores para ver las vistas y si continuas descendiendo lamontaña llegaras al río donde por un precio muy económico podrás realizar un recorrido en catamarán de una hora de duración aproximadamente Es un lugar precioso para pasar un buen día tanto en familia, con amigos o con tu pareja.

Welcome! Last month of July I went to visit a beautiful area among Orense and Lugo. It is know for theirs montains and the Miño river , they are forming an excellent  landscape.
In the highest zone there are some viewpoints to see the great views and if you go to the down of the mountain you will arrive to the river where  for a very affordable price you can take a tour by catamaran approximately one hour. It is a lovely place to spend a nice day in both family,frienss or with your couple.

BAIONA.(Galicia,Spain)

Hola a todos!! Bienvenidos!!  El fin de semana pasado mi novio y yo aprovechamos el buen tiempo y nos fuimos hasta las rías baixas(Galicia), donde se encuentran algunos de los rincones más bonitos de toda galicia. En concreto estuvimos disfrutando de unas maravillosas vistas de Baiona desde lo alto del parador. Dicho parador dispone de una zona amurallada que puede ser recorrido disfrutando de unos paisajes mágicos y contemplar las fabulosas islas cíes.
Si te apatece algo especial y alejado del bullicio de las grandes playas de esta zona puedes pegarte un baño en unas preciosas y tranquilas calas que se encuentran rodeando el parador.

Hello  everybody!! Welcome! Last weekend because of  the good weather my boyfriend and I went to "The Rias Baixas"(Galicia, Spain), where there are some of the more beautiful places from Galicia. In particular we were enjoying wonderful views from Baiona from the most high part of the Parador (tourism hotel). That Parador has a fortified area where you can walk around there enjoying magic views and you can see the impresionant Cies Island.
